Women's Mountain Bike Racing star Amanda Sin from Canada placed third for the bronze medal in the 2011 Pan Am Games. The gruelling Women's Mountain Bike Racing course was held in Guadalajara Mexico. The race consisted of four tough 6.2 kilometere loops.
The Women's Mountain Bike Racing event was one of eleven medal events on the first day of the games on October 15. Sin was just over three minutes off the pace of Heather Irmiger from the USA who took home the gold medal. Second place went to the Mexican athlete Laura Lorenza Morfin. Canada also took fourth place with Mikaela Kofman finishing 51 seconds behind her teamate.
