Crocodile Trophy 2011 Stage 6 Tough Day
Crocodile Trophy 2011 Stage 6
Crocodile Trophy 2011 Stage 6 saw another amazing day in this toughest of mountain bike races. Crocodile Trophy 2011 Stage 6 was a marathon ride of 189km from Mt. Mulligan to Mt. Mulgrave. This was to be the day that Jeroen Boelen had probably been dreaming about. Urs Huber the race leader had a tough day and bad luck.
There were punctures galore on this stage. Brad Davies who was doing so well in the masters category had 5 flat tires. Huber also had a puncture, but worse than that he found that he had really depleted his energy level. As you will read below the Mitchell River managed to prevent drinks and energy gels getting to the proper feeding areas. This really effected Hubers who was running on empty for the last two hours or so of the race.
