Mountain Bike Racing Crocodile Trophy 2011 Stage 4 saw the Netherlands' Jeroen Boelen sprint past, Wolfgang Krenn, Josef Benedser and Urs Huber the race leader and winner of the previous three stages. This was an exciting and rewarding day for Boelen who now has his first major International Mountain Bike race stage win. Milka Trek owner Bart Brenjens had to be excited as well. Mountain Bike Racing Crocodile Trophy 2011 stage 4 win, sets Boelen up as a major contender. So far this year he has won three mountain bike races.
Mountain Bike Racing Crocodile Trophy 2011 Stage 4 route was a 106 km ride from Gunnawarra Lagoon to Irvinebank, which was also where the previous day's stage had ended. Thankfully the rain held off giving the racers a break from the weather of the previous three days. This stage included a 27 km. lap that had to be completed three times, thereby making for a fairly technical race. The hills were sharp and short giving the racers a chance to accurately judge where they were going to attack.
